Day 103: Broughton, OH

It was Alea's turn to ride yesterday, covering 48 miles before we left the route to find a campsite near Broughton, OH for the evening.  It was humid all day, and it was 90 degrees out when she stopped around 1 pm.

We stayed at Woodbridge Campground ($33, power, water, showers).  It was one of the nicer private parks that we've stayed at, but it seems to be an odd location for a campground, with a factory for making industrial plastic piping next door and otherwise being surrounded by miles and miles of farmland.  I suspect the bulk of the tenants are long term, and they probably work next door or in nearby towns or farms.  There are some nice man-made lakes here, so most of the campsites have some sort of water frontage.   It certainly beats living in most mobile home parks.

Our route today followed the Maumee River for much of the day, providing some much needed shade, along with low traffic volumes and a break from the monotony of the straight farm-to-market roads.
